How to Choose the Best Vacuum Cleaner for YOUR Needs.

Posted by

Bagless or Bagged? Canister or upright? How do you choose the best vacuum for your home or business? Does price matter? You should not believe everything you see on the infomercial or the advertisement. You can't even assume the vacuum that your friends are exclaiming how much they love is the correct vacuum for your needs. Most of the testimonials and reviews are made within the first year of the vacuum being purchased. Even the cheapest vacuums may work great...for a while. But how well will it be working in a year or two....or 5 or 10 years. You don't have to spend a lot to get a quality durable vacuum cleaner but you may spend a lot and NOT get a quality durable long lasting vacuum either. The brand that everyone raved was so great you don't hear much about anymore, why is that? You may have found that what everyone else thought was the greatest vacuum ever made was not the best choice for you.

All vacuums need to be maintained to keep working properly which may be as simple as replacing a belt and/or filter every a year or two. Dust, hair, debris, etc. can build up, especially around the brush roll causing problems. Routine vacuum maintenance on most vacuums is very simple if performed frequently enough, for some people that means once a month, for most it may be once per year or two. A majority of vacuum problems are caused by a lack of maintenance which is usually not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

You don't hear much anymore about the vacuum everyone thought was so great and had to have, why did that happen? Everyone was so happy with that brand why have they all switched brands to the newest hot item. What will happen to it in a few years? You might want to ask someone who services and repairs vacuum cleaners everyday.

Whose advice can you trust to help you? The person who helps people everyday choose the correct vacuums for their specific needs will not be found in a discount store, they will be found in a vacuum cleaner store.
